Description
An engraving of Johannes Enschedé (1708-1780), owner of the Enschedé printing house in Haarlem with his father Izaak Enschedé. Johannes Enschedé ordered a large number of types to be made by Joan Michaël Fleischman and Jacques-François Rosart. His printing house became one of the most successful in the Netherlands, and continues in operation as the security printing firm Joh. Enschedé today.
